The Emma Moulton Memorial Scholarship has been established to provide tuition assistance for students aged 11-18 whose lives have been impacted by mental health issues, bullying, or suicide. This scholarship is designed to support individuals who have demonstrated resilience and are seeking a supportive educational environment to thrive academically and personally. The scholarship provides varying levels of financial assistance—25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% of tuition—to attend the King George Learning Center's Homeschool Program, a specialized alternative education environment for students struggling in traditional school settings.

1. Age: Applicants must be between the ages of 11 and 18 years at the time of application.
2. Experience: Applicants must have personal experience with mental health issues, bullying, or suicide in their own life or that of a loved one’s. Applicants are asked to provide a brief statement about the experience.
3.Program Fit: Applicants must be interested in attending the King George Learning Center's Homeschool Program, which offers an alternative, supportive, and individualized learning environment for students who face challenges in traditional school settings.

The scholarship offers varying levels of tuition assistance based on need and the applicant's situation. The awarded amount may be:
25% tuition assistance
50% tuition assistance
75% tuition assistance
100% tuition assistance
The amount of the scholarship granted will be determined based on the essay submission, personal background, and a review of financial need.

1. Essay Submission: Applicants must submit an essay of approximately 200 words (about three paragraphs) detailing:
-Their personal experience with mental health challenges, bullying, or suicide; theirs or a loved one’s.
-Their belief that the Homeschool Program is a good fit for their academic and personal growth.
2. Application Form: Completed application form with basic information, including:
- Name, age, and contact information.
- Current grade level and school/homeschool
- Background information regarding mental health, bullying, or other related challenges.
3. Recommendation Letter (Optional): A letter from a teacher, counselor, or non-relative who can speak to the applicant's experiences.

4.Submit all documents to the King George Learning Center's Homeschool Program.

Each essay will be evaluated based on:
Clarity and sincerity of the applicant's personal story.
The applicant’s reflection on how their challenges have shaped them and their future aspirations.
The applicant’s understanding of the unique benefits of the Homeschool Program and how they believe it will support their success.
Applications are open throughout the academic year, and submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis.
Please note: While applications will remain open until all available funds are disbursed, we encourage you to apply early as funds are limited and may be exhausted before the end of the academic year. Once all funds have been allocated, application submission will be closed.
